TOURIST VISA
  1. Original, signed United States of America passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
  2. Passport-type photograph:2
  3. Copy of round trip tickets or itinerary (Applicant’s name must be on itinerary)
  4. Copy of the applicant’s most recent monthly bank statement. The statement must clearly show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, and the date of the statement.
  5. Copy of confirmed hotel reservations (Applicant’s name must be on Hotel Reservation).
Additional required documents for minors
     • Letter of Consent. A letter of consent signed by both parents.
     • Birth Certificate. A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate.
     • Parents’ Passport Copies. A copy of the information pages of both parents’ signed passports.

BUSINESS VISA
  1. Original, signed United States of America passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.

  3. Copy of round trip tickets or itinerary (Applicant’s name must be on itinerary)
  4. A business letter from the sending company in the US. The letter should be printed on the company letterhead stationery, addressed to the Embassy of Nigeria, Visa Section, 3519 International Court, NW, Washington, DC 20008, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
          • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
          • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Nigeria.
          • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. single entry business visa).
          • Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.
  5. Business Invitation. A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Nigeria. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Consulate of Nigeria, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
          • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
          • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Nigeria.
          • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. a one year multiple entry business visa).

VISITOR VISA

  5. Personal Invitation. If visiting friends or family, you must provide letter of invitation with the contact information of the host and visitor, purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature and date. You will also need to provide proof of the host’s status in Nigeria ie. copy of their Nigeria passport’s information page, or, if they are not a citizen of Nigeria, copies of their Nigeria residence permit and their national passport’s information pages.
    Host passport. Scanned copies of the passports of the hosts you are visiting in Nigeria
