TOURIST VISA

Citizens of United States of America do not require a visa to enter Indonesia for a short visit of up to 30 days. Visitors on the Visa-Free Short Visit must enter Indonesia from any of the 5 airports and 9 seaports, which are : Hang Nadim, Batam; Juanda, Surabaya; Kualanamu, Medan; I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Denpasar; Soekarno-Hatta, Banten. Seaports: Bandar Bentan Telani Lagoi, Tanjung Uban; Bandar Seri Udana Lobam, Tanjung Uban; Batam Center in Batam; Citra Tri Tunas, Batam; Marina Teluk Senimba, Batam; Nongsa Terminal Bahari, Batam; Sekupang, Batam; SriBintan Pura, Tanjung Pinang; Tanjung Balai Karimun, Tanjung Balai Karimun. Please only apply for a tourist visa if you are planning on staying longer than 30 days.

  1. Original, signed United States of America passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
  2. Passport-type photographs: 2. A digital copy of your photo MUST be uploaded upon completion of your order.
  3. Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.
  4. If the applicant has traveled within the last 90 days to any of the Yellow Fever Countries an International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever will be required.
  5. Copy of the applicant’s most recent monthly bank statement. The statement must clearly show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, and the date of the statement.
  6. A letter from your employer/school (on business letterhead, with contact details), stating that a leave of absence has been granted and that you will be returning to your current job. If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.
  7. Previous visa. If applying for a multiple entry visa, please provide a copy of a previous Indonesia visa and a copy of the information pages of the passport containing the visa. The embassy will not grant a multiple entry visa to a first-time visitor.

Additional required documents for minors (under 18):
Birth Certificate. A NOTARIZED copy of the applicant’s birth certificate.
Letter of Consent. A NOTARIZED letter of consent signed by both parents, specifying who will be traveling with the child and authorizing the Consulate to issue a visa to the child.

Citizens of United States of America can also obtain a 30 day visa on arrival for a fee of USD 35.00 at most major ports of entry.

There are restricted regions in Indonesia. The four regions are: Maluku, Poso, and Irian Jaya/West Papua. Applicants seeking to visit the restricted regions must obtain special authorization from Indonesian authorities.

BUSINESS VISA
  1. Original, signed United States of America passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.

  4. A business letter from the sending company in the US. The letter should be printed on the company letterhead stationery, addressed to the Embassy of Indonesia, Visa Section, Washington, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
    • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Indonesia.
    • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. multiple entry business visa).
    • Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.
  5. For MULTIPLE ENTRY VISAS, a business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Indonesia. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Embassy of Indonesia, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
    • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Indonesia.
    • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. a multiple entry business visa).
